New Volkswagen Jetta leaked ahead of its debut

Volkswagen is expected to debut the new Jetta later this year, but three images of the new sedan have leaked online. The pictures come from Autologia and reveal a more stylish Jetta that also looks a bit larger.

The new Jetta features many of the same styling cues that we’ve seen on the new Arteon and the upcoming T-Roc crossover. From the front there are new headlights with a large black grille, creases in the hood to amp up the style quotient. From the side, the Jetta’s profile is sleeker with a sharp line running from the front fender all the way to the taillights.

The new Jetta will be based on VW’s new MQB platform. Under the hood we can expect a range of different engines, like a 1.6L four-cylinder, 1.2- and 1.4-liter engines, depending on which market you are in.

We’ll likely get all the details in a few months, since the new Jetta is expected to debut by the end of the year, before it goes on sale next year.
