Porsche Mission E Cross Turismo gets the green light

Porsche has announced that it will build a production version of the electric Mission E Cross Turismo concept. Porsche will also add 300 jobs at its Zuffenhausen plant to produce the electric wagon.

The Porsche Mission E Cross Turismo concept debuted earlier this year at the Geneva Motor Show. The concept is based on the Mission E concept with its two electric motors that generate over 600 horsepower. The Mission E Cross Turismo concept is capable of reaching 62 mph in 3.5 seconds and a top speed over 155 mph. The concept can also travel up to 310 miles on a single charge.

Production of the Taycan will begin in 2019, but Porsche hasn’t announced when it will start building the production version of the Mission E Cross Turismo concept.
