To compare, the outgoing 458’s naturally-aspirated 4.5L V8 produced 597 horsepower and 398 lb-ft. of torque. The 488 GTB reaches 0-62 mph in 3 seconds, 0-124 mph in 8.3 seconds and has a top speed of 205 mph. The new V8 is mated to an updated seven-speed dual-clutch transmission that has a Variable Torque Management system to “deliver incredibly progressive acceleration when the driver floors the throttle.”
