2017 Lincoln Continental debuts with a 400-hp twin-turbo

Lincoln has unveiled the 2017 Continental at the Detroit Auto Show. As the replacement for the MKS sedan, Lincoln decided to bring back the iconic badge for its flagship sedan.

Last year Lincoln revealed the Continental as a concept at the Detroit Auto Show and the production version looks pretty close to the concept, although it’s been toned down a bit. From the front you’ll see Lincoln’s new grille, which has also been applied to the restyled MKZ.

Inside the interior is all about luxury and comfort, which Lincoln says was designed to help the Continental’s occupants rejuvenate. It’s Perfect Position front seats are inspired by by private jets and high-end office furniture and can be adjusted up to 30 ways. The seats also have a massaging function, in addition to being able to be heated or cooled. Rear passengers also get heated, cooled and massaging seats.

Under the hood, the 2017 Continental is powered by Lincoln’s new 3.0L twin-turbocharged V6 that generates 400 horsepower and 400 lb-ft. of torque. All-wheel drive is available and the Lincoln Drive Control system can adjust the steering and suspension settings with three settings: comfort, normal and sport.
