2014 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport Get New Technologies

Land Rover has announced the updates to the 2014 Range Rover which gets new technologies like Traffic Sign Recognition, Lane Departure Warning and Perpendicular Park, while the new Land Rover InControl will deliver a host of connectivity features.

Land Rover has announced the updates to the 2014 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport which gets new technologies like Traffic Sign Recognition, Lane Departure Warning and Perpendicular Park, while the new Land Rover InControl will deliver a host of connectivity features.
A new Black Design Pack option adds a Gloss Black theme to the Range Rover badging, front grillle, mirrors, door handles, bumpers and side vents. It also includes a a choice of a new 21-inch alloy wheels and a 22-inch alloy wheel with a new style finish. Inside the changes are small with powered upper seat articulation (for the driver and front passenger) being added to the options, while rear seat passengers can benefit from the larger, optional 10.2-inch screens for the entertainment system.

Range Rover Sport

Buyers in Europe can choose between a new 334-hp 4.4L diesel engine that is mated to an 8-speed transmission and accelerates from 0-62 mph in 6.9 seconds. Depending on market, the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport are also available with two gas engines; 5.0L V8 S/C 503-hp and 3.0L V6 S/C 335-hp, two diesel engines; 3.0L TDV6 254-hp and 3.0L SDV6 288-hp and the recently revealed hybrid powertrain.

The new hybrid powertrain featreus a 3.0L turbo-diesel engine that is mated to a 35 kW electric motor and 8-speed automatic transmission. It generates a total 335 horsepower and reaches 0-62 mph in under seven seconds.
