The current BMW M5 is set to get a minor facelift for the 2014 model year and the first official photos were leaked onto BMW’s website. The configurator on was accidentally updated too soon, giving us our first look at the minor updates we can expect from the 2014 M5.
The 2014 BMW M5 will get an updated grille with vertical slats like the M6 and slightly updated headlights. Inside the interior remains largely untouched with the exception of the new steering wheel from the M6 and an updated iDrive controller.
Under the hood the 2014 BMW M5 will continue to be powered by the same twin-turbocharged 4.4L V8, but BMW is expected to offer a new competition package that will bump up the M5’s horsepower from 560-hp to 575-hp. The package will also add a sportier suspension, new 20-inch alloy wheels and a revised M Dynamic mode.
Stay tuned for all the details soon.
