The 2019 Mazda MX-5 Miata RF officially arrives at dealers next month and Mazda has announced that the pricing for the updated MX-5 Miata RF starts at $33,335. Just like the soft-top 2019 MX-5 Miata, there are several updates including more power and some tech upgrades.
The 2019 Mazda MX-5 Miata and MX-5 RF both get an upgraded 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 181 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and 151 lb-ft. of torque at 4,000 rpm. That equates to 26 more horsepower and 3 lb-ft more torque compared to last year’s model. The four-cylinder can be mated to a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission.
On the tech front, the 2019 MX-5 Miata gets a standard rearview camera, optional Traffic Sign Recognition, and optional Smart City Brake Support low-speed automatic emergency braking. A tilt/telescoping steering column has also been added and Auburn Nappa leather is available for Grand Touring models.
The 2019 MX-5 Miata RF will also be available with a new GT-S Package for MX-5 Grand Touring models equipped with the 6-speed manual transmission. The GT-S Package adds a front shock tower brace, limited-slip rear differential, Bilstein dampers, and a hand-painted black roof. For buyers that want an even sportier driving experience, the MX-5 Miata RF Club is still available, starting at $32,345.
Mazda has not announced the pricing for the 2019 MX-5 Miata soft top.
