Mazda has announced that the 2018 Mazda3 will come standard with its new Smart City Brake Support automatic braking system. Pricing for the 2018 Mazda3 sedan starts at $18,095, while the Mazda3 five-door $19,345.

The 2018 Mazda3 Sport comes standard with a 155-hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, a 7-inch infotainment screen with Commander control knob, Bluetooth, power windows and locks and a push-button ignition. Mazda3 Sport sedan models have an available Sport Preferred Equipment package that adds 16-inch alloy wheels, Advanced Blind Spot Monitoring, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, satin chrome interior trim and power heated outside mirrors. Mazda3 five-door models come standard with 16-inch alloy wheels.

The 2018 Mazda3 Touring ($20,090) adds a 184-hp 2.5L engine, leatherette seats, heated front seats, Advanced Blind Spot Monitoring, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, rain-sensing wipers, automatic on/off headlights, dual-zone automatic climate control, Mazda Advanced Keyless Entry, a six-way power driver’s seat and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter knob. The $1,500 BOSE/Moonroof/Satellite package adds a nine-speaker audio system, SiriusXM satellite radio and a one-touch-open moonroof.

If you want the fully loaded Mazda3, you’ll have to step up to the Grand Touring, which starts at $23,145. It comes standard with leather seats with heated front seats, an Active Driving Display head-up unit, LED fog lights, self-leveling bi-LED headlights, LED tail lights and LED daytime running lights. Mazda3 Grand Touring’s Premium Equipment Package ($1,600) adds an Adaptive Front-lighting System, heated steering wheel, paddle shifters on automatic models, Mazda navigation system, auto-dimming interior mirror with Homelink, High Beam Control, Lane Departure Warning System, Lane Keep Assist, Mazda Radar Cruise Control, Smart Brake Support and Traffic Sign Recognition.

Lastly buyers can still choose either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission.
