In the F-Pace, the turbocharged four-cylinder accelerates the SUV from 0-60 mph in 5.7 seconds and gets 37 mpg UK. The Jaguar XF with the new engine reaches 60 mph in 5.5 seconds is rated at 40 mpg UK. Lastly in the XE the 2.0L gives it a 0-60 mph time of 5.2 seconds and a 41.5 mpg UK rating.
“We continue to broaden the range of our Ingenium engine family, giving customers more choice than ever before,” stated Nick Rogers, Executive Director, Product Engineering. “Our new 300-hp gasoline engine provides the performance synonymous with Jaguar, while delivering enhanced fuel economy thanks to its state-of-the-art exhaust technology and pioneering valve train design. This clean and more efficient engine perfectly complements the advanced lightweight aluminum body structure of our XE, XF and F-Pace models.”
The introduction of the new 300-hp 2.0L turbocharged engine is the latest in a series of enhancements to the XE, XF and F-Pace. Earlier this year the range of advanced Ingenium engines expanded to include 200-hp and 250-hp versions of the 2.0-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine. A 240-hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder twin turbo diesel was also introduced.
