Hyundai has teamed up with Blood Type Racing Inc. to create a one-off Veloster, called the Veloster Turbo R-Spec, which is going to debut next month at SEMA.
The BTR edition Veloster is painted in a “Carbon Black” paint job, with a red racing stripe running from the front splitter up onto the hood. The one-off Veloster also gets a carbon fiber wide-body kit, front-mounted aero canards, front splitter and a rear deck spoiler. The exterior is finished off with custom red SSR three-piece wheels and red projector “demon eye” headlamps.

Under the hood, the Veloster’s 1.6L engine gets new cylinder sleeves, a high-boost turbocharger from Garrett, and custom connecting rods and pistons. With a retuned OEM ECU working in tandem with the strengthened engine internals, power output is now more than 500 horsepower.
