Acura is giving the 2019 Acura NSX a few updates for the new model year, which includes some small styling updates, chassis improvements and the debut of the new Thermal Orange Pearl exterior paint color.
On the outside the 2019 Acura NSX has a new body-color front grille garnish and high-gloss trim bas been added to the front grille surround, front air intake mesh and rear bumper outlet mesh. Inside the 2019 NSX is available with an optional Indigo blue Semi-aniline leather and Alcantara theme. The optional semi-aniline leather seats can now be selected in Red or Ebony. The 2019 NSX also now comes standard with power sport seats, navigation, ELS Studio premium audio, and front and rear proximity sensors and aluminum sport pedals.
Under the skin, the 2019 Acura NSX’s chassis has been tweaked with larger front and rear stabilizer bars and stiffer rear toe link bushings. Acura’s engineers also re-calibrated the Sport Hybrid SH-AWD power unit. The 2019 NSX rides on new Continental SportContact 6 tires, but Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires are optional.
“At the limit, the NSX’s balance, playfulness and controllability has improved, allowing the driver to more precisely modulate understeer and oversteer with subtle throttle inputs. The changes resulted in a nearly 2-second faster lap time in testing around the world famous Suzuka Circuit.”
The NSX is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.5L V6 engine paired with a 9-speed dual clutch transmission and three electric motors to generate a total 573 horsepower and 476 lb.-ft. of torque.
The 2019 Acura NSX starts at $157,500.
